Community Based Treatment

Community-Based Treatment is offered to male and female youth who are living within the community, and is four to six months long. This highly individualized program is offered to youth between the ages of 13-17 who need support to address substance abuse problems, but who do not need more structured treatment in either a Residential or Day Treatment Program.

Community treatment workers provide youth and their parents/guardians with individual and/or family counseling, family mediation, spiritual guidance and coaching that focus on the needs and challenges of the youth and their family. The goal of this program is two-fold: to help youth discover self-confidence and purpose without resorting to substance abuse; and to help parents/guardians guide their at-risk youth as effectively as possible.

The Community-Based Treatment Program offers a weekly support group for youth in recovery, in which graduates can continue to participate after they complete formal treatment. This program also helps participants, both youth and parents/guardians, identify and access various community services and supports to meet their needs and enhance their strengths.
