The dial, inspired by the markings on his head, gleams with beautiful silver leaf. A rotating disc that moves every second features a design based on his headpiece, while the hour and minute hands are styled after the fans he wields. The 12 o’clock position index marker features a motif of the "Upper Rank Two" engraving on his eye.

■ Kanazawa Gold Leaf
Produced in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan's premier gold-leaf production center, this exquisite gold leaf is just 0.1 μm thick (one ten-thousandth of a millimeter). Every sheet is meticulously crafted by master artisans.
