Our programs and services are for individuals in need of support. We prioritize those who already use our programs or are in immediate need. If you’re new to the Community Centre and would like to access our services, please check in with a staff member.
The Community Centre is Open 365 Days a Year, Including Holidays
Monday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Every Day
Hot, Nutritious Meals - Monday to Friday
Lunch: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM (takeout available)
Dinner: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (takeout available until 8:30 PM)

Saturday Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Resource & Advocacy:
If you’re looking for help with housing, employment, or accessing community services, staff are available to help. Computers, phones, a community information board, and a listening ear are always available.
Kitchen Volunteering:
Volunteer and learn new skills in our community kitchen. Working with our kitchen coordinator, prepare and serve lunch. Connect with the Community Centre staff for more information.
Laundry & Showers: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Laundry and shower facilities are available 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that laundry and shower services are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Check-in with staff to put your name on the list.
Mondays
Men’s Group: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Come join us as we talk about nothing and everything at the same time. Drop in. Community Centre
Chapel: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Join us every Monday for chapel with various churches, worshiping and learning the Bible together. No registration is required.
Tuesdays
Clothing Repair Class: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Learn practical sewing skills to extend the life of your clothing. In this class, you’ll discover techniques like hemming, patching, button replacement, and seam mending. Community Centre drop-in
Traverse Brain Injury Support: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Meet with an outreach worker to find support and resources for those affected by brain injuries.
Wednesdays
Community Legal Information Project (CLIP): 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Free, reliable legal information and resources to hep navigate the legal system.
Ontario Disability Support Plan (ODSP): 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
ODSP staff are available to help with applications and general questions.
Women’s Bible Study: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Drop in. No registration is required.
Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART Hub) – Employment Support: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Guidance, resources, and training to help find and keeping meaningful work.
Thursdays
Ontario Works | Starling Housing Support: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Ontario Works and Starling Community Services support staff are available to help with housing applications and general questions.
Homeless and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART Hub) – Employment Support: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Guidance, resources, and training to help find and keeping meaningful work.
Community Canvas (in the Community Centre Chapel): 3:00 PM - 4:00 pm
Community Canvas is an art program where guests can express themselves creatively in a safe, supportive space. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or returning to a familiar passion, this is a place to explore, connect, and share your story through art. All are welcome – no experience needed! Supplies provided.
Health Care Services: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Healthcare workers are available for diagnosis, treatment, education, ongoing health services, well-being checks, and immunizations.
Fridays

Sundays
Winners’ Circle – Alcoholics Anonymous: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
People share their experiences, strength, and hope through their recovery from alcoholism. The only requirement is the desire to stop drinking. AA is not allied with any denomination, political party, organization, or institution. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help others achieve sobriety. Drop in. No registration is required.

Drop-in Mealtimes
You are welcome to join us for a hot nutritious meal in our dining room or take out a meal to go! If you need a hot meal and a safe place to connect, Ray of Hope can offer food, community, and support.
Marketplace Food Hamper
If you need food, we can help. Through our Marketplace food hamper program, you can choose foods that meet your family’s unique needs and preferences.
