Full-Time Program Manager – Youth Support Services – Live-In Treatment

This is the management role which oversees the day-to-day delivery of all treatment services for the Live-In treatment program, working closely with the program director to uphold and promote all directives from ROH leadership. The incumbent participates in staff hiring, orientation, on-going training and performance management in close consultation with the program director. The manager oversees all program delivery, including responsibility for managing budgets & spending, and clinical supervision within assigned program area and other areas of YSS as needed.  The program manager provides some direct clinical service to participants in the form of counselling/psychotherapy and case management as needed. This role includes providing family and supports with regular updates and feedback pertaining to their youth’s treatment and stay in program.

 

Full-Time Operations Manager – Youth Justice Services – Secure

The Operations Manager is responsible for overall day to day management of Youth Justice Detention and Custody Facility for Ray of Hope. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with company policies, standards and procedures regarding personnel management and administration. The Operations Manager shares responsibility for strategic planning, goal setting, designing and implementing policy with the Director of Services. The Operations Manager leads from a Christ-centered approach in a multi-faith environment and will support in creating a long-term, sustainable strategy and lead program development.  

 

Full-Time Security Officer – Youth Justice Services – Secure (2 Positions)

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Security Officer is responsible for effective oversight of risk of harm to others and safeguarding the environment for staff, clients and visitors in a youth justice secure custody and detention facility. The position ensures the efficient operation of the facility by all security measures and risk mitigation strategies. The functions of the Security Officer are to provide security for all points of egress of the facility; monitors resident, visitor, and employee activity via security cameras and performs all duties associated with the control center. Duties are performed under stressful conditions and can include physically de-escalating volatile situations. Distinguishing characteristics of this position include routine contact with residents.

 

Full-Time Youth Recreation Officer – Youth Justice Services – Secure

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Youth Recreation Officer position is responsible for implementing/facilitating all types of prevention programs that aim to provide important life skills to manage conflict, build resiliency, and engage positive peer relations. More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for consistently ensuring the delivery of programing that re-engages youth and introduces them to developing skills in the hospitality and construction sector. This position collaborates with other partners on prevention, awareness, intervention, diversion, etc. The position will establish and work with the community partners in appropriate learning, trades/technical programs, and recreation. Through their active engagement in the community, they identify emerging opportunities and partnerships in the business and tech community. The Youth Recreation Officer position works in close collaboration with the school board, apprenticeship/trades programs, social services, and a variety of other sectors and stakeholders to help youth successfully reintegrate back into society. The Youth Recreation Officer position will ensure that directives of the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and Ray of Hope Secure Policy and Procedure (ROHS P&P) are applied appropriately and consistently.
