It is our belief that change is possible. Change begins with building healthy relationships, a willingness to investigate our past, and the boldness to strive for change in the future.
Employment is a vital piece of the process as it provides financial security which is essential for independence.
The Employment Services Program provides the education, counselling, practical life skills and on-the-job training necessary to be resilient in the workplace. Many people have not had the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills needed to overcome the challenges life presents.
If you have experienced difficulty finding or maintaining full-time employment this program may be for you.
To apply you must meet the following requirements:
- Between the ages of 20-29
- Permanent resident of Canada
- Able to commit to the 26-week program (6 months)
- Trainees may not be enrolled or currently attending any secondary or post-secondary educational programs during the 6-month contract
- Must be fluent in written and verbal English skills (CLB 6+)
- Able to sit and stand for long periods of time depending on the work environment
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- A general understanding of Canadian currency
- Trainees must want to be here
- Open to personal and professional growth and change
